Notable Quotables from James' performances:

A COMMUNITY JAZZ FESTIVAL: "James Hammel & Friends were highly professional and played excellent jazz and blues music! We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to host a relaxing, smooth jazz event!!!" Sonya C. Williamston, SC

A LARGE BUSINESS CONFERENCE: "When James Hammel is singing or playing...there's an electricity in the air! He's a dynamic singer, arranger and songwriter who speaks the universal language of love in every performance. His original "Do It All Over Again" is a call to action and a generational anthem and it's what is so special about his work— it's genuine — it's honest and it engages you. Recently (with lightning speed) James turned a weary convention crowd in Atlanta into a high-spirited, hand clapping, up-on-your-feet party... and it was a solo acoustic guitar show! His cool arrangement of Sammy Fain's 1931 jazz standard, "When I Take My Sugar To Tea" married with Queen's "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" is a perfect example of what James Hammel delivers —heart pumping — heart opening and heart felt moments!" —Susan Berkley

AN ELEGANT PRIVATE PARTY: "James performed solo with his guitar at our party. From the moment the party began to the very end, his music set the ambiance and crooner vibe I was looking for. It really helped create a truly positive and uplifting experience for our guests. A wonderful evening of entertainment. Thank you James!" —LM

A MEMORIAL SERVICE: "James was wonderful. His voice was great and they did exactly what we needed. It was a hard time but he really made it easier!! BOOK THIS GUY!! You won’t regret it." Katy S. from Asheville, NC

A NC BREWERY: "James Hammel & Friends perform weekly at our brewery and it's been our best day of the week for almost five years! Great voice, guitar playing, and energy. The addition of a variety of excellent musicians and a truly diverse songlist make having James truly wonderful." John G. Asheville, NC
